MISSION

Lam's mission is to engage as a conductor with other musicians — instrumentalists, singers, composers — with her fullest artistry. Central to this is her belief in the ability of our mutual creativity to express the realities of life whether it be loss, anger, grief, joy, humour, or vitality. She champions and supports those whose work is forgotten, overlooked and dismissed because of bias and neglect. She does this via performance of new or unfamiliar works, deep scholarship of existing repertory, and by engaging thoughtfully and responsibly with her colleagues and fellow musicians.
